Brand Story

When the founder Chika lived in the United States and the United Kingdom, she wanted her children to experience local cultures by interacting with local people as she believes in the importance of multi-cultural experience for children’s development. Moreover, she wanted to have such experiences for herself. There were always challenges – First, it was difficult to find an opportunity to meet people outside of her community. Second, it was difficult to express herself in English, her second language.

By establishing Kotch, she wants to make it easier for people to connect with others by offering a platform to use foods as a catalyst for communication.

Under the name of Kotch, she established two businesses.

Kotch Visit is a platform to connect people by arranging home visits to communicate over meals.

Kotch Japan is a food service to provide Japanese oriented foods.

COVID-19 changed the way we live, work and communicate. People missed opportunities to meet others, experience different things outside of their community to grow themselves. With the ease of COVID-19, we, Kotch, would like to provide people to gain multi-cultural experiences through a community and foods.

Inari Sushi, or Inarizushi, is a pouch of fried tofu typically filled with sushi rice. Tales tell that Inari Sushi is named after the Shinto god Inari. Foxes, messengers of Inari, are believed to have a fondness for fried tofu, and an Inari Sushi has pointed corners that resemble fox ears.

Check the below website for all the foods we offer. Official service is expected from 1 November 2021.
